How did online teaching create a more inclusive classroom?

Pre-screening answers leveled the playing field for introverts and extroverts.

Traditional classrooms favored extroverts, but pre-screening answers and quizzes let everyone participate. I used multiple-choice questionnaires and a Google Spreadsheet where students outlined discussion answers in one to two sentences. I could follow live and pick the most interesting answers to discuss in class. This pre-screening of arguments worked extremely well to create robust class discussion outcomes, giving all students a voice regardless of personality type.
