From punch cards to conversation: AI as natural interface

AI enables me to communicate with machines using natural language instead of learning complex commands or navigating graphical interfaces. Previously, we evolved from punch cards to MS-DOS commands to graphical interfaces with mice and clicking. Each step made things more intuitive, but I still had to search and learn the system’s rules. Now with large language models, I can simply describe what I want in my own words. The AI understands my intent and produces output, even if I have no idea how it works technically. This is revolutionary because humans naturally communicate through language.
