What example shows how data use in one industry could be inappropriate in another?

Healthcare data belongs with doctors, not insurance pricing algorithms.

In healthcare, we want doctors to use health data to diagnose our potential issues. But we do not expect our doctor to share health information with an insurance company that will then change the pricing of our life insurance. The healthcare industry is regulated to prevent this kind of misuse. However, the social media industry is not similarly regulated. This example illustrates why we should focus on what data is used for, not just who has it, and why regulation matters.
