Creating a bond is challenging when you’re a small sub-window on top of a Google presentation. I went off presentation mode as often as possible so that everyone is more visible. I also spiced up the course with fun actions using Snap Cam to change myself into a potato or come in a Tuxedo to class. A personal relationship between a prof and a student is a key driver for learning, so being approachable required creative approaches.
