There will not be one model to rule them all. Even OpenAI uses multiple specialized approaches under the hood. GPT-5 wasn’t an AGI breakthrough but an orchestrator of narrower models. In the next decade we’ll see many workflow-aware models designed for specific business tasks. For example, e-commerce retailers will run specialized large language models that represent their brand, understand their product hierarchy, and support their sales and marketing workflows. The future IP will be the specialized knowledge the models have.
