Sam Altman’s vision is clear: he wants to be the agent for healthcare, finance, e-commerce, and many other areas. Some founders have described this vision as wanting to forward integrate into their business or be Everyone’s Agent, much like Amazon once wanted to be The Everything Store. OpenAI is extending the idea that Perplexity started with Shop Like a Pro to cover everything users do online.
