AGI is a ghost story, not a roadmap for near-term investment
I assert that AGI is essentially a myth. I’m not saying it’s theoretically impossible, but nothing in all the advancements of technology represent a concrete, clear step toward AGI. The distance between what is capable and what humans are is going to become increasingly clear. AGI is just another way of saying artificial human. It’s a ghost story, the novel Mary Shelley would have written if she knew about algorithms. The false narrative that we’re headed towards AGI, possibly within a few years or couple of decades, is part of the problem.
